Though reports say it's a "stage adaptation", not noting if it's a play or musical, Zooey Deschanel has been tapped to play Loretta Lynn, selected personally by the woman herself, in Coal Miner's Daughter based on the movie about Lynn. Personally, it seems like an odd choice, but I'm sure somewhere there's a reason. Thoughts?
