Why theater?: Live theater is a conversation, a performance format that has as much to do with the audience as it does with the performers. It's always fresh and exhilarating!

Tell us about Lollapacoacharoozastock: Lolla...is a rock concert of fake bands. My wife
Jenny and I transform into the singers of four different original "fake" bands, supported by a "real" live band! We perform original songs that spoof the spectrum of pop music, and sound like they were ripped right from the charts! It's in the vein of "This is Spinal Tap" but it's 4 different bands and it's LIVE!

What inspired you to create Lollapacoacharoozastock?:
When I was studying at The Groundlings in Los Angeles, I wrote a sketch about a pair of teenage pop star brothers, and I penned a few original melodies and lyrics. I had so much fun doing this sketch, and I realized that this was a parody format that I could apply to any kind of band or style of music. So I created a slew of characters and songs based on musical genres that I simultaneously love and hate, and before I knew it, I had "Lollapacoacharoozastock Music Festival"!

What kind of theater speaks to you? What or who inspires you as an artist?:
It's all about the joy. Life is a joyous experience, and it's easy to forget that. I'm inspired by the people who do a good job at reminding us. Life is also ridiculous. So I'm a big fan of Christopher Guest.

If you could work with anyone you’ve yet to work with, who would it be?: See above.

What show have you recommended to your friends?: Newsies was epic! It was everything that's great about Broadway.

Who would play you in a movie about yourself and what would it be called?:
I would of course be played by the devilishly handsome Hugh Jackman in a musical biopic titled, "You do What?"

What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?: Singing along to Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman"

If you weren’t working in theater, you would be _____?: Dead.

What’s up next?: I want to bring my fake bands to other formats: music festivals, concerts, television, radio, film. By doing so, I will unite the world in harmony, all of humanity at once laughing at 90's alternative rock.
