Who do you play in Van Gogh Fuck Yourself?: Vincent, Theo, and 16 more characters in the workshop performance. We are in the process of clipping characters down
Tell us about Van Gogh Fuck Yourself: A friend had a great quote: “If you know anything of Van Gogh, You know nothing about Van Gogh Fuck Yourself” A lot of people know bullet points and cliff notes regarding Vincent. In my research I see his beauty as a loving, caring human being.
What is it like being a part of VGFY?: A bit up and down. The creative side never fits well with the business side of things.
What kind of theater speaks to you? What or who inspires you as an artist?: Live Theatre, Improvisation, Storytelling, Honest and simple. I love a different yet simple view or take on something. I like foreign films and directors who let things unfold before our eyes. Risks.
Any roles you’re dying to play?: As a kid I wanted to be a super hero. Spider-Man.
What’s your favorite show-tune?: Currently bought an Irving Berlin Vinyl collection- “There’s No Business Like Show Business” is on there ... so that’s my favorite this week.
If you could work with anyone you’ve yet to work with, who would it be?: Hugh Jackman
Who would play you in a movie about yourself and what would it be called?: Everyone is telling me i look like Tormund Giantsbane. So it would be him. The movie would be about NYC, The different jobs, relationships, struggle, and learning how to make your own way and carve your own path by being Yourself.
If you could go back in time and see any play or musical you missed, what would it be?: No idea, ask me again. I would have loved to see Robin Williams perform.
What show have you recommended to your friends?: The International
What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?: Ice Cream, ... Guinness.
What’s up next?: I would like to tell the story in different settings, formats and countries. Well see what happens.
